Ta-da, tadata ta-da!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have nothin'. It's cold, it's Good Friday so everything except the Indian Quickie Mart is closed, it's raining, my son is hungover and no company at all. I on the other hand have decided to raise the bar of DVD intellectualism and endure a Star Wars marathon by attempting to watch all six movies consecutively. It's now 1:34 so I reckon given meal and toilet breaks, I can nail this bastard by about 1:30am! So it's grab a doona, curl up on the couch and let the endurance test begin. This little trilogy on the other hand will bring a smile to your dial and take about six minutes of your viewing pleasure!

  1. Hope you survived your marathon, Baino! You're a brave woman - either that or barking mad! ;-) I love the original series but the prequels - nah.
The clips are brilliant - hadn't seen the French and Saunders one before - but LOVE Eddie Izzard! Laugh out loud stuff! Good way to start the morning.
    Have a great weekend!

  2. Haha . . not even two DVD's! It's been a really boring day but had a visitor at 6 and the marathon ended abruptly. I'm full of shit! *aussie term for barking mad* No way could I watch six no matter how much I like the sound of a light sabre or Ewan McGregor in a rather flash pair of tan leather boots! Same to you possum, I hope you're weather's better than here right now!

Eddie Izzard? Where, where? There was I about to compliment you on your incredible stamina and you've already blown it. No way I could watch anything for longer than 3 hours and even then it has to be bloody good.

Wussed? Already? The force is not strong with you. Still, why anyone would want to watch any of them other than The Empire Strikes Back I just....(WARNING, NERD SNOBBERY ALERT, THE REST OF THIS SECTION HAS BEEN DELETED FOR BEING INCRIDIBLY BORING).... still the Eddie Izzard one was excellent and the F&S sketch pretty good too.

  5. I watched all the extended Lord of the Rings movies in one day.

Sure killed a few hours but I had one sore arse after it.

  6. Nick; If i was a bloke I'd be all talk and trousers as they say! Three's my limit! Click on the last You Tube clip. Darth Vader goes to the studio canteen!

Thrifty: My conversion to geek is almost complete. I'm like a death star in the making just a few holes in the side. I agree, Empire Strikes back was brilliant and seriously responsible for my past crush on Harrison Ford, then he went for that skinny Flockhart slag and I went right off him!

Terrence: It's like sitting in front of a computer, you're meant to do your stretching exercises in between *gets up, walks to fridge, pours glass of bubbly, yawns*. Changing position on the couch also avoids pressure sores. Clearly you are a beginner!

  8. Aww Quicky, don't judge me too harshly! I was more of a typist's chair spud actually and spent half the day on the computer. I did bugger all!

I never thought about there being a canteen on the Death Star - it will give me qualms of conscience next time I watch Skywalker destroy it. All those damp trays.
