Urrrgh, feeling pretty tired myself. Board meeting of new work yesterday. Powerpoint presentation followed by dinner, I took precautions and drove though, so no hangover like last time, just up too late on a school night.
On the gardening front, my butternut squash have started to sprout, my chillies are taking their sweet time. Raspberries looking good, as are Gosseberries (both planted this year so I doubt I'll get fruit). Spuds sprouting, broad beans taking it handy.
Ian: the PS3 stuff is fairly new I have to say . . he's more into Need for Speed (cars) better on the screen than in real life. I have a a couple of friends who are Viet Vets and they actually like this stuff . .
Kath: Too True . . .poor thing is not adjusting well to 6am starts after a big weekend! (he thought university was 'work') Clearly you have been there and learned the lesson . .stick to one poison!
Thrifty: Thank your lucky stars you have little girls. You won't have to worry about Yaegermeister or Call of Duty . . It'll be lads and love!
School night! Twit! You're not at school any more!
Is there no end to your talents! Grow your chillies inside on the windowsill, they like warmth. I have cherry tomatoes growing courtesy of bird poo! Seriously, I didn't plant them, they're just sprouting!
Despite its reputation as a drink for vomiting 20-somethings, Jagermeister on the rocks after the bottle spending some time in the freezer is pretty good. On the other hand, on New Years Eve 2006, after downing most of a liter of it our car felt the need to go airborne then straight through a telephone pole before taking out 75 yards of fencing. I haven't had a drop of it since. No sympathy here. I'd be yelling at him to get up and about. :)
Brianf: Haha, that's rich coming from the Napman! It's not as bad as it looks. The couch photo was 6:30pm last night after 3 weeks of 5:30am starts in a very physical job and a big weekend on PS3. More 'jet lag' than hangover. He then went out to rehearsal at 7:30 till after 10:30 . . . poor kid's just ragged. Bit of a culture shock after 3 years at Uni . . .2006! That was only 2 years ago . . .very naughty to drink and drive. Tut tut . . .
JD it tastes like cough mixture, I dunno why they like it but they do. Fortunately, poverty has forced DB into beer! The real killer was the long PS3 session!
Anony: You're just coming into these wonder years!
Don't mind the first two and the last two - can't be doing with the stuff in the middle. Knew blokes who were involved in real combat - not much fun.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a gorgeous pictorial. He's clearly not yet past the stage when 7 shots of tequila after thirty beers and two whiskeys are not a good idea

I still try and do that every now and then with disastrous consequences i.e. lots of the last photo!
ReplyDeleteI need to curl up like that young man. I did far to much yesterday and now I am paying for it.
ReplyDeleteI shall be obtaining a large dog and a pair of rusty shears that will be held meaningfully in the full view of any prospective lotharios.
ReplyDelete[rusty snipping sound]

ReplyDeleteJagermeister rocks! :) It actually doesn't give you too much of a hangover. Pretty good stuff, I say. :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA, I still manage the first (in lesser form) and the last :)
