Buy a Mag and Have a Wank

"The page you requested cannot be found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

What page? The NSW Parliamentary Biography of our once State Health Minister

John Della Bosca BA MLC

A very unattractive man!

Why has it been removed. Because the man has just resigned under a cloud of scandal for having an affair with a 26 year old woman. He is a 56 year old power broker within the Labour party and has recently been touted as a possible challenger for our State Premier.

Now an older married man bonking a younger woman is not unusual. Donald Trump has made a career of it! I guess what is unusual is the lover going to one of the Australian Tabloids and spilling the beans. It seems he didn't follow through on a promise to leave his wife who just happens to be a Federal Politician. The lover, I use the term loosely, even claims he changed his political agenda to travel to places where she was in order for a bit of slap and tickle. "I don't know how he had time to do his job when he spent so much time with me" she claims.

What's most awful is that he's NSW Health Minister and like many health systems in the Western World, the NSW public health system is in dire need of reform and refurbishment and above all, the undivided attention of the Minister! Then he didn't seem to be doing much anyway.

What makes men in positions of power and the public eye risk their marriage, their jobs, their reputation and their self-respect in such a way? Actually bugger men in power what makes ordinary men embrace infidelity? Answer me you blokes because I find it absolutely disgusting.

I am constantly amazed at the sexual stupidity of men yet they continue to acquire positions of incredible responsibility and authority, above capable women, only to throw it away because their brains are in their dicks. If you fancy a bit of skirt, have the moral compulsion to leave your wife
/partner and enjoy a positive and enduring relationship. If it's just the sex . . buy a Penthouse and have a wank! To do anything else, makes you a top order wanker anyway. I cannot stand sexual infidelity. I cannot stand political infidelity. I cannot stand the abuse of power by men who are 'ugly' in every description of the word.

PS: The 'squeeze' has been outed

  1. I am glad I am not the only one to feel this way! The fact that I am a widow and all alone has nothing to do with the way I feel. I never had time or respect for 'away players'.

  3. Lots I want to add but actually you have pretty much summed it all up. Sex, Money, Power will almost always be at the root of a leaders downfall. It's the families, wives, children that I feel for. RRR

  4. Quite so GM made even worse by their position.

Well Ryan, we all know that the NSW State Govt is totally farked. I take little pleasure in watching them fumble around! Liberal pollies aren't exempt, take Ross Campbell. I'm sure there are more.

  5. Quite so Craig. I hate the 'bit of fluff' sentiment that so many men seem to have. Then she should be outed as well . .she spilled the beans and nobody knows yet who she is. She knew he was a married man.

  6. Infidelity is too much like hard work. I'm more likely to spend too much time in the garden/allotment.

Baino, this could have done well for a Friday Fuckwit, yes? And as far as men in power go, they're fallible just takes a bit longer to catch 'em. And don't even get me started on all these bloody paedophile priests! And why is it that corruption can go so long undetected, hmmm....?

  8. Don't ask me! I'm male and I don't understand it either; all my relationships have been strictly monogamous.

Your health minister has nothing on South Carolina's governor Mark Sanford. He didn't just have an extramarital affair, he kept running down to Argentina to pursue it while telling people he was hiking on the Appalachian Trail. And all the while being one of the country's most rabid exponents of fundamentalist Christian "family values". You have to wonder about a mind that works like that!

  9. WOOHOO!Nice one!;)
Ah here's another one and I think he's the worst of all..BerlusCONi!

  10. I've always been monogamous myself and never been seriously tempted by another woman, but I'm sure there are married men who genuinely fall for someone else. But as you say, they should have the moral decency to opt for one or the other and not sleep in two beds.

The real issue though is whether he's doing his job properly. His sex life is a quite separate and irrelevant issue and in other countries the voters couldn't care less who's sleeping with who. I don't see why it's a resigning matter - unless as Roy said he's been preaching family values.

  11. You know Baino I think that these men think they are so powerful that they can do anything they want. Especially middle aged men who hope to show that they are attractive and sexy (insecurity?) remember that this was the downfall of the governor of New York who would go to Washington DC with call girls. Many politicians here who constantly speak about “family values” and going to churches end up with sordid tales of affairs with girl friends or boyfriends. But I think this has been going on for centuries and it won’t stop soon.

  12. stats say both sexes cheat... every time the opportunity presents itself

seems 'men' are expected to, while the 'gals' only 'slip up'...

    BULLSHIT, cheating's cheating!

  13. Over here in the USA, the current groveling, male, political slut is Senator Sanford. His wife finally had the gumption to publicly give him the toss. Here, here!

Someone needs to tell the minister about chemical peels and microderm abraisions.

  14. its a sad day when men who find themselves in the spot light fall...its very easy you know...for anyone...i have seen it happen too often. for me the men i surround myself with go a long way to keeping me in check. without them i would probably be another statistic...

  15. Ugh. Betraying your family is bad enough; betraying your constituency this badly (if what she says is true--though can we trust a cheater?) should be a criminal offense.

Disgusting was a good word choice for him. Bleeuh.

  16. Mark Sanford refused to resign as governor. To quote another politician, "Have you no shame, Sir?"

Somehow power is attractive to the opposite sex. How else can you explain young fillies having affairs with men old enough to be their fathers?

I hate infidelity and blame the 'other woman' as well as the husband. Not to be sexist, I blame the 'other man' and the wife, too.

It's happened loads of times to our top politicians here too. (John Major and Edwina Currie!)

I don't fully understand it either, but I think it's the excitement of the chase 'can have, will have'. Women are guilty too. It's all too common.

When you discover your spouse has been having an affair, your world comes crashing down and nothing is ever the same again.

  18. this has been going on for as long as there have been people...and will until we take the next evolutionary step! We must now become androginous robots!

  19. Plus you'd only get caught

Hmm didn't think about that one Subby. Not funny enough I fear. Well in the case of paedophiles, their victims take some time to be brave enough to come forward.

    Yay for serial monogomy!

Candi they're everywhere but people in public places are sure to get caught at some time or another!

Don't mind playing the field Nick but not when you're in a committed relationship and certainly not when you're supposed to be on the job! Hmm . . double that entendre. Having hanky panky in your Government taxpayer funded office and changing travel plans in your government tax funded plane is not on.

I remember the call girl scandal Vagabonde. As if he wouldn't eventually get caught. His poor wife. All the public humiliation these women have to endure. l haven't heard JB get on his family values pedestal so hypocrasy doesn't run that deep.

Wuffa, well the young woman he 'liaised' with wasn't married but she knew she was playing around with a married man. Says a lot about her scruples as well! It's far more prevolent with men

That's what I don't understand Ronda. If a man was ever unfaithful to me, his belongings would be on the lawn the minute I found out, I can't understand women who stay with such men and so many do.

Brian somehow I doubt it. You would never do that to your family. And it's against your Christian morality.

It's all about lack of trust for me Suze although who can trust a politician?

Darlene, I'm not sure resignation is appropriate unless they've been mucking around on Government time. I mean what they do in their private lives is of no concern to me. I do expect them to focus on their obligations as politicians at least between 9 and 5.

Sadly here too Cinnamon although the Brits take the award for being a little kinky whilst in Westminster. Fortunately, I've never been there but I would not have a man back who had shown such infidelity, not in a month of Sundays.

Again Tom, I don't think many men are made for monogomy and if I had a face like a bucket of smashed crabs I'd probably be very flattered with the attention of a 26 year old but to take it to the next level is still wrong.

  22. I am not condoning it , I am just going to explain it..... stripped down, Humans are just mammals. Think about natural instincts in the animal kingdom. The male hunts down the female, impregnates her, and then moves on, while the female nurtures the children. The Human being has been fighting forever to curb their natural instincts, some do it and some don't, but I say that any man, no matter how faithful and loving can be tempted to the point of cheating. The key is to keep yourself out of those situations, that is why rich and powerful people have the toughest time. I need to go read my Cosmo now!!! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  23. You just need to read the collected love letters sent between the British Prime Minister Henry Asquith (at the time 58) and Venetia Stanley (at the time 23) to know that nothing changes all that much.

    ReplyDelete
  24. As Robin Williams once famously said, men only have enough blood to fill their heads or their penises at any given time - not both.....

....what irks me is that a lot of this horizontal folkdancing is done on taxpayers' time, via taxpayer funded trips, hotels, junkets. Shows how a pork sausage and two old walnuts can warp a male brain, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  25. hells, you have me laughing in the aisles. your disgust is so damn pure and you use the best language!!

i'm not a fan of infidelity either, but i dare say sometimes passion overtakes. what bothers ME more than anything is POWER OVER. want to screw around, cheat on your spouse, fine, but keep your hands off women who could be your daughter or who work for you. keep a zip on it.

wolfie has a point: it's women too. but the reason men are hgihlighted so much is because they hold so much of the pragmatic and symbolic power.

i could say more about cheating in general, explain perhaps my view of the factors that incubate it, but i won't. maybe someday.

    xoxo honey hells

    HAHAHA, the word verification is
pingr. doesn't that sound relevant to the topic?

  26. Here, here Baino, my sentiments exactly. Well said. I'd now like to see his Australian Government guaranteed lifetime superannuation benefit and other associated entitlements stripped from him and redirected to our health system which so desperately needs it. What else has this man been getting up to behind closed doors? If a man cheats on his wife, the mother of his children, then what else is he capable of being dishonest about as a parliamentary representative of the Australian people?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think it's absolutely gruesome. I was sickened by Clinton's antics, which nearly ruined an otherwise fine president for me...

    I'm an obsessive monogamist.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "What makes men...."
Ha. You answered your own question in the next paragraph.
"Their brains are in their dicks".

Of course not all men are like this and shouldn't be tarred with the same brush. I personally know many who are faithful and true. Why can't they be the ones who are running the country? We'd all have much more faith in our politicians.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ah, I didn't grasp the way government funding was involved. In that case resignation was probably appropriate.

"A face like a bucket of smashed crabs". Brilliant!!

  30. Otin Schmotin . .that was yesterday, this is today . . . don't think for a minute that 'cheating' is a male primordial urge . .

Acknowledged Alan, the Brits do it Better

Haha . . with you and him there Kath. Yeh, it's the 'distraction' from the portfolio that gets me cranky as a cut snake too!

kj, passion might but good sense should prevail. He hurt more than himself here and if he can't be trusted in bed then why trust him in politics. Actually it's almost causing a double dissolution . . watch this space! In this case he should have kept his pingr in his pocket!

Ah Rowe, this is my point. An untrustworthy husband does not make a trustworthy politician. If you can lie to those you love, just imagine how easy it is to lie to your constituency.

Good for you Leah. I still look at Hilary and wonder how and why she took him back,. I guess in the long run it didn't do her political aspirations any harm but man was she justified in spitting back recently re the Kenyan incident. Lost in translation? I don't think so.

Agreed River but women do it for money, security and safety. Men do it for bravado, proof they're still in the game and pride.

Hehe . . I stole it but I love it Nick!

  33. I have a sneaky suspicion you may find there are almost as many female away players these days as there are male ones. Times have changed and I get the distinct sense the women have leapt on the infidelity bandwagon as much as men - well, okay, maybe not as much, but they seem to be catching up. So I guess the question is, irrespective of where it starts, what is it about infidelity per se? Boredom, power? Both seem to be a big factor in the "why". Along with "got it all already, let's get something I haven't got."

    ReplyDelete
  34. OH, RIGHT ON! RIGHT ON!

He is NOT as smart as he likes to think he is IS he?!?!?!?

  35. Re: Alan Burnett's comment. Alan, not only did Asquith write love letters, he wrote them at Cabinet meetings while the country was on the verge of war with Germany!

Having spent twenty odd years encountering the mess caused, blokes have serious problems with getting old - buying a Harley or getting a garden shed are much more sensible outlets than affairs with women half your age.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I wonder if the very same urge that drives people (particularly men, since there don't seem to be a lot of philandering female politicians) to seek public office also leads them to have affairs. Consider what an election is like. It's basically a very competitive game. A lot of politicians start out as lawyers, and I think a lot of lawyers probably see cases the same way: a very competitive game where they'll do anything to win. Once they're in office they're easily bored with the daily grind, so they look to grind something else. As if having an affair weren't disgusting enough many politicians probably see having an affair as a kind of game--although a more open-ended one. The game becomes keeping the affair hidden, pulling the wool over the voters' eyes. I bet this is really helping you see politicians in an even better light than you were.

Since someone else mentioned Robin Williams, I think the funniest line in The Birdcage is when Gene Hackman's character says, "Don't tell me John Major doesn't have something on the side." When the movie came out it was funny because so few of us could imagine John Major having an affair.

A few years later it was even funnier when we discovered John Major was having an affair!

  38. I agree with all you say but can't help thinking how recklessly brave of him to cheat on this particular wife, wasn't she ordered to go take anger management by the Prime Minister last year ... wonder what part of him she grabbed hold of when he went home*!*

    ReplyDelete
  39. This sort of dishonesty really is disgusting. Anyone who cheats on a partner, is a liar, showing no respect to someone with whom they claim to have a relationship. What kind of relationship can that be, based on lies? I hate dishonesty (although I'd overlook a HUGE fib if I asked you 'Does my bum look big in this?')

  43. You know what? I've come to the conclusion that it's the price we pay for politics and big business. Seems something about the power and success - and maybe stress - associated with those things press a button in the psyches of the men in high office. I was stunned, some years ago, to find that even John Major (I mean, the Grey Man - JOHN MAJOR!!) was not immune. Sheesh!

What I find almost as incomprehensible (and reprehensible) is the woman/women involved. I mean, you look at some of these guys and you think 'why??'. It must just be the heady scent of authority and power. It's the only explanation.

Seriously, some of these guys ... You couldn't pay me. There is insufficient money in the world.
