We have very few snow days. It's expensive and a 6 hour drive and only happens between late June and August:
Europeans and Americans and even a few New Zealanders do this:
Aussies do this:
What? It's just melted snow!
See more views on "Snow Day" by visiting Theme Thursday.
It's just as fun. Snow bunnies versus Gold Coast meter maids!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to find me some little waves in Uruguay.
melted snow indeed...and the amazing things they can do in either snow or that melted version. my son is enamored with it. perhaps a budding xgamer on our hands....happy tt baino!

ReplyDeletedefinitely time for me to go to bed.. after the videos
Believe it or not, even when it's snowing the premier Winter sport in Newport is surfing. Those nor'easters kick up some dynamite waves!
ReplyDeleteAnd di you know it's snowing on your blog page? I had to scrape off my monitor twice! (j/k)
The lightly falling snow is charming, Baino.
ReplyDeleteAnd wow! to the videos.
How cool is that!Thank you for sharing Baino!Love to you!Have a nice evening :)
ReplyDeleteLove it Baino! How did you do the falling snow in your background? Happy Thursday.
ReplyDeleteVery fun, Baino! The falling snow in the background is so clever. I was late (well, it is only 8 a.m. here in CA) getting my TT Snow piece up, but it is there now. Thanks for the comment on my birthday writing, and no I bought the cake...not much of a baker. The cakes you describe sound fabulous, and I wish I could see them, melted or not. I am looking forward to Fuckwit Friday. Will it be Tiger again?
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join the Aussie's in their melted snow right now. lol
ReplyDeleteThose videos are great, Baino. Thanks for posting!
Late June and August? You really ARE upside down, aren't you? :) Thanks for great post.
ReplyDeleteWater is melted snow, snow is evaporated and frozen water, and somewhere in that cycle we drink and then pee the stuff out.
ReplyDeleteKinda gross when you think about it, eh?
Hah!
HA! You Aussie's...contrary and "doin' it your way." Love your style. Always have! Hang loose!
ReplyDeleteFunny how different it is there than here. We get snow and it sticks around for MONTHS. Want some?
ReplyDeleteYou got snow, Tsup*!*
ReplyDeleteooh! the only video game i like is Playstation SSX Tricky...snowboarding...but i'm not crazy enough to play for real! How do any of these idiots live past the age of 20?
ReplyDeleteI do neither. Just keeping the bloomin' car on the road is sport enough, wot? I'll stick to making the snowpeople :)
ReplyDeleteI used to have nightmares about BIG waves getting me (I was living in Hawaii at the time and had eaten my share of sand).
ReplyDeletehave no intention of feeding either bears or fishes, thank you very much :P lol
ReplyDeleteNeat, neat videos!
ReplyDeleteDear friend I put that song for you just because you told me of your Dad's funeral and how you didn't like the wording.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest though I feel the words fit for me because many times like today I feel like a wretch.
Love Renee xoxoxo
HO HO HO! My good friend Baino! I love what you have done to your site! I love the snow, but surfing is not my thing! Merry Christms! Why are all the good ones 12000 milea away!? :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm glad to watch, but my feet ache just at the thought of trying to stay upright on those boards. Happy TT
ReplyDeletegd share of vids
ReplyDeleteA smile from SJ =)
Love the snow effect!
ReplyDeleteI love to watch, but I am definitely not that adventurous, at least I don't think so. Okay, this doesn't right at all, lol!
Love this post.
Happy tt.
I like your falling snow, it’s so gentle. But I don’t see anything gentle in those sports – I am exhausted just watching your clips! I need to get back to my armchair and rest…
ReplyDeleteWHOA! Cool videos!
ReplyDeleteAnd...love the snow on the bloggo!
