I'm Moving On

I don't have it any more, the will or the desire to keep blogging. I enjoy visiting yours but I really haven't got the mojo to maintain this one. I might from time to time if there's something worthy to pop up here photographically. I feel I haven't much to say any more, life's hard, work's difficult, relationships need nurturing and well . . .It's been almost four years of bantering here and I just don't want to do it any more.

Over these past almost four years, I've corresponded with many of you, talked on Skype and you've all been a source of entertainment, inspiration and information. Some have become collaborators, a handful have become life long friends and one in particular, I adore beyond reason. I am eternally grateful for these connections. Should any of you find yourselves on Antipodean shores, I have a room with your name on it and a warm welcome to match.

Yep time's come to say Goodbye. I loved blogging and the friends I've made here. I have little of interest to say and less time or will to say it. I'm writing a little, on Creative Infanticide, posting fortnightly on The Tenth Daugher of Memory, and distracted by not-so-shiny things.  I'm becoming whingey.

Thanks to you all for following for so long. We'll see. I never say never so who knows, I will definitely visit and might pop up in your feeder now and then, or reincarnate the blog in the future but for now it's check out time.  Life is changing and so must I. Keep in touch.

  2. It's strangely disturbing when someone like you says goodbye and yet I understand it well.

Keep enjoying and battling on in the so-called real world. It's where we all belong.

  3. Oh dear! My daily reading just became less interesting, especially Fridays. I'll really miss that sarcastic, sharp Aussie wit. Oh well, at least you know where to find me.

  4. Sorry to hear that, but I guess there's no point in labouring away at something you're not enjoying any more. And as you say, you've got plenty of other things competing for your attention.

Maybe we'll still meet up in Sydney in December?

Well, it seems that you heard my complaints to my girlfriend and her daughter. They spend a lot time on Facebook and I told them that it is important to meet with friends as well. Nowadays I also stay a lot home, because It is hot outside and I am preparing to a university scientific contest.

  23. Just in case you change your mind, I'll keep you on my reader too, but I totally understand. I haven't even been doing this for two years. It can start to feel like a chore, and it shouldn't. There are are lots of fun and exciting things to do out there and you can leave knowing that you provided entertainment, friendship, and inspiration to many. You should feel very proud!

  24. Thanks for a great run. I will be forever glad that I found my way to this place (thanks, Paddy!).

Thanks, too, for all your wonderful comments over the last three and a half years. You are my friend.

And I will keep my eye on this space, just in case.

And yeah, I'll still be here when you get back.

    Love and rockets!

I'm feeling the need to slow mine down a bt to less than daily.

  27. Ditto to what everyone else has said, you will be sorely missed. But I guess you could be like I have been lately. I just keep taking break after break after break. Not because I wanted to but because other things have taken precedence, like the wittle wee ones and the dang modem.

You will still be in my sidebar, so when you do come visit your blog, then you will pop up.

    I will miss you.

    God bless.

  33. I will miss your wit. As I faced a similar turn of events in my life lately, my friend said to my, "what's a sundial in the shade?" Ben Franklin. Seems appropriate to share it with you. Hope to see you in the sun sometime.

NO!!!!! You'll be so missed! At the end of this hard-working week I came here for my Friday Fuckwit fix and instead find myself saying what a loss. 45. I hate to hear it, Baino. I'm glad to hear that you'll still be writing though. A lot has changed in the world since you started the blog. I can't think of many changes that are of a positive nature. Your lovely post will be missed by me and countless others. I may not have always commented, but I've always read your posts. :)

  48. I took a close up of the Aussie pies at the Australian Bakery we visited a couple of days ago so you could see it and tell me if they are really authentic. Then I come to you blog and read that you won’t blog anymore? I am really sad now. I understand that if it is something you no longer enjoy you might as well stop but I hope that things will change and you will come back later on. I always enjoyed your wit and your humorous way of writing. I wish you the best, you deserve to be happy. You can email me anytime if you wish.

  49. Shit! please stay in touch as I think of you as a mate xoxoxo

  50. Oh Bugga but I know what you mean - been dragging my mouse lately too, the whole of June passed without the desire to post. Tsup*!*

  51. I am so sad to hear it, but I do understand. I haven't blogged for a while due to my Mum's death, and I suppose when we leave something for a while we always expect to find everything as we left it when we get back, don't we? But life isn't like that.

Your retirement from blogging will leave a Baino-shaped hole in the Blogosphere, you know that, don't you?

Good luck, my friend! I hope you drop in sometime at my place. Oh, and I didn't know Creative Infanticide was you!

  52. i am in your real world baino, so no change here, it is just i shall miss your mind.

  53. Wow. Hadn't expected that. I wish you nothing but the best. Glad we'll see you at 10thDOM. I need to pull my own ass out of the doldrums and paddle towards the wind...take care, Baino.

  55. Hang about, hang about. I go off on holiday and look what you do whilst I am away. Before making any lasting decisions I insist on you wait for a couple of months : take a long blogging holiday and then see how you feel.
I will miss your humour and your acute powers of observation. But most of all I will miss seeing your creativity emerge from out of the shadows. Make sure my name is on one of them rooms - I will be with you soon.

Meanwhile, best of luck in your job, relationships and life.

  60. Baino, I totally get that. I considered stopping too during my 1 month off. I think blogging as a fad is falling off and the novelty of is is wearing thin as we see its limitations. But, every now and then i feel the creative muse so want to write but that is only every month or so, but, having an art co-op keeps me going. I so rarely visit people too which makes me feel bad but it is just not possible. It is enough to keep up with my art co-op, creative Tuesdays.:)

Anyway, i did want to say Ty so much for your recent comment on the when your hubs died. I do well remember you writing about that.Ty for sharing that with us as a good reminder for us all. Anyone of us coudl do the same thing.

Please take care. Wishing you all the very best down under. :)
