Festival Time and The Weather's.....

Sydney Festival time and the weather's....ugh. Not sure what's going on this year but an unusual atmospheric event has seen us with cool temperatures, lots of rain and storms and no opportunity for a tan. But it's Festival which is awesome. Live sites, free concerts, lots of people and fun times to be had however, our public transport sucks and the Sydney City Council in their wisdom have decided to close the Harbour Bridge for the next three weekends for resurfacing. Now what clown made that decision? Still, its school holidays here so I guess the traffic's lighter.  Not much more to say so I'll let the pictures do the talking. I went to opening night last week and am toying with going to see Mike Patton and friends at the Domain tonight depending upon whether this cloud bursts or not!

Ya know, reading your blog and looking at your pictures, one might think that Sidney is one big party and light show. You guys know how to have a good time, traffic problems not withstanding.

I enjoy your posts and your photos are always interesting. I particularly like the shot of ths stripes on the cathedral...very striking.I'm also glad to see you posting here a bit more often. I hope it will continue.

And, again, I must say you know how to have fun!

St Mary's looks interesting in stripes. Glad you had fun despite the cooler weather. I'm enjoying the cool myself.

Looks like a hell of alot of fun!

My mom wanted the two of us to go on an opera tour of Australia and I was game until I saw the price - which was way high. But I was thinking I could have met up with you which would be worth alot. Maybe we'll find a cheaper trip.

Hey Baino, I was most struck by the first photo, bloke on the far right. He looks *so* Australian and it's amazing how noticeable it is because I realised that I haven't clapped eyes on such an example in seven months!

That cathedral looks great in stripes!!

I hope the cloud didn't burst and you managed to have fun - I suspect you did!

Some great shots in there. I do love the fruit bats - must be wonderful to see them. I'm curious about the war on camping though! LOL!

funny that you're having colder weather and we're having warmer weather. i hope we haven't dangerously screwed up the planet (okay, we have)

happy rest of your weekend hells.

It is strange that you are having cold weather and just got over a few weeks of it being in the 80's out here. We are going back into the 60's which is more like it.

Nice pictures and I am so glad that I have not encountered any of those "Occupy" people. We have enough homeless and they have their spots. Sometimes things occur that children should not see. Really sad.

Looks like you had a lot of fun and what a large crowd.

God bless.

I'm pretty sure your definition of cold weather isn't quite the same as mine. Judging by the clothing in these shots the weather can't be THAT cold. You people down there are just spoiled ;-)

AND you know how to have a good time :-)
