I See Red

I so cheated because I'm having a shit of a week:

And I can honestly say that I've never seen a red kangaroo in the wild. . . shame . . .shame . . .shame. Hey, it fits the Thursday Theme Red . . I'm sure others have much more to say.

Do ya know any songs about red kangaroos you could teach me? or could me sing "the red kangaroo sits in the old gum tree eating all the kookaberries he can see...."

You might of course have mentioned the classic 1978 song I See Red by New Zealand group Split Enz. Or there again you might not.

Take it easy Baino--sorry about your week--

I did like the kangas, though!

Works for me! And I hope you are having a better end of the week ~ isn't just about cocktail hour?

Sorry for the crap week, but the kangaroos are wonderful...

I hope your weekend is the perfect antidote to the week you've had.

Cheers!

Great kangaroos, too!

I don't care what you say, but Han Solo is a TV character in Hungary. I don't care with the rest of the World.

those are pretty cool looking 'roos (isn't that what you guys call them?) the one scratching it's chest reminds me of my husband, especially wiping the saliva on it's chest. haahhahahaha!

(gawd, he would so kill me if he knew I wrote about him like this!)

I love the end where the young Kangaroo went running home to mama when the game got too rough. Just like some boys I used to know.

Thanks for the video and hope your week is better now.

That was a very informative clip you showed on kangaroos. You remember how I posted on kangaroos in North Georgia last summer – there were a lot of them and the area was so large that it looked like they were in the wild, but I’d rather see them in Australia. They really run fast. I enjoyed that clip.

Those roos are tough, I would sure hate to pick a fight with one or have it run in front of my car!

Chill out girl, the weekend is almost here.

Shit of a week?

Sounds like a new column! Companion to Friday Fuckwit, perhaps?

Hmm... "Shit of the Week," at Baino's Banter.

I dig it.

@JeffScape: I like it.

@Baino: I like it;) You're not cheating. Megan sez there are no rules as long as you state the theme. Come on over and get a massage.

Never seen a red kangaroo in the wild? Shame on you. Obviously your next holiday needs to be a bus tour to Alice Springs.

I've never seen a red kangaroo in the wild either! I can't remember seeing one at a zoo either...

Aww... I love the roos. We fed and petted some at the Australia zoo many years ago. It was quite exotic, coming from where we do, where the roadkill is mainly deer and possums and squirrels. Theys all good eatin', though.

Sorry about your week :(

sorry about the crap week - i hope your weekend is helping you recover.

good old david attenborough. tho he's so widely taken off over here, he sometimes seems slightly like a parody of himself

roos are pretty weird aren't they?

So sorry to read that you have had a bad week.... but, happy to have seen the kangaroos! Wow. After watching the red ones, it really makes you appreciate the later post about the rain (I love the rain, too). Isn't it amazing about licking their forearms to cool themselves and that the moms can bring up fluids from their stomachs for their babies!

Jaime said...

that's not cheating. the kangaroos are cool.

That was a cool vid, I hope that next week is better. And to watch the boxing match was great. I guess about the only wild creature I get to see, is my dang possum. I hope you get to see the red kangaroos in the wild someday. It seems like it would be fantastic to do that.

God bless.
