Friday Fuckwit

Not feeling very fuckwittery this week since I lost my job on Wednesday. Poor profits, non revenue raising member of the workforce. Yep dream job is down the toilet but hey, I get to go in Monday and eat cake and get presented with a pen. Awesome. A post on how to be made redundant 4 times is pending.  No I'm not a hopeless case, I am extremely employable I just have bad luck. KJ read those cards and soon . . .

A gang in Ireland on Monday and forced him to eat part of his own ear, police say.
The man, 21, is recovering in hospital.
The attack occurred in Newbridge. Police said the gang dragged the man down a lane and beat him with a hammer and a metal bar.
The suspects cut off part of the man's ear and forced him to eat it, police said.
He also suffered injuries to his head, jaw and leg.
No arrests have been made.

Er hello? No arrests? Only in Ireland.

Have a good weekend everyone.  Thank God for Wine Club and no, can't talk about Wine Club. I will survive.

Well, at least you get cake.
Hopefully you also get a glowing reference, to kick start your new job search.

  10. Oh shit, that's bad luck indeed. Ah well, things happen for a reason. I'm sure your actual dream job (and you thought this one was, ha!) is lurking around a corner somewhere. (Hopefully not in Ireland near a gang of very disturbed criminals.)

Big hug and enjoy the wine and the cake and you could use that pen to write the addresses of publishers on the envelopes with your manuscripts in it. Or a catering service? Isn't that an idea?

  11. Major OUCH on losing the job! With your skills, though, a new job should be just around the corner.

So sorry about the job. REALLY STINKS.

  16. but cake is good!

errr...what was the point of that ticket writing electric truck video. I did like how he let the crooks the goods--hey, he probably would have been fired if he tried to intervene.

  17. That is really crap. I'm sure there's something out there for you which doesn't involve sitting in an office... rots of ruck.

  18. I was reading all your fun posts of the last month and enjoying them. Then I came to the last one. I am sorry about your job – that really sucks. Economy there must be like in California. My daughter has lost her last 2 jobs like that too. I hope you'll find something you like – in not too long.

Crumbs - sorry to hear it.
If it's not too late, try to arrange to have something enjoyable to do later in the day after the pen presentation. If you're like me, it heads off a potential brooding session.

  22. So sorry about the job. They didn't know what they had. But as you said, you are highly employable, and a better job is no doubt just around the corner, one where they will value your talents and pay you handsomely for them.

  23. Oh no! You lost your job? Hugs, sweetie.

The Irish fuckwits are very fuckwitty, I think. You can't get more fuckwitty or moronic that to do something like that.

Just so's you know; arresting people in Ireland costs money. Money we apparently are giving to bankers instead of shooting the fuckers; billions of euro in fact. So being a crazed fucked-up criminal in Ireland is not so bad now.
At least some are doing good from the fuck-ups of our governments.
Best of luck on the job front. But don't rush it if you can afford not to.
