Tempted as I was to post an irrelevant discourse on poo, . My internet is behaving like shit and I'm in an ongoing shit fight with my ISP so brown is kind of suitable right now. . . However, discretion being the better part of valour, I looked through my Flickr album and actually found some rather lovely brown things
Door at Monselvat Artist's retreat
Vicrtoria's wide brown land
Brown rocks at Kiama
Bodacious brown dog
Very tame brown Kookaburra, no laughing matter. Please don't ask about the red nail polish
Delicious dipping brown
My kind of bay brown
Jenolan Cave Brown
Blowing on your soup, while ash lands in your hair brown
One for the gentlemen . . .
Theme Thursday again and I've been a bad blogger ..see what other 's have done with possibly the worl'd dullest colour. Chocolate and coffee excepted.
And brown butterscotch, brown caramels, brown bark of trees, brown bottle, brown bodies, brown - the new black etc etc.
ReplyDeleteTerrific images here, Baino and none of them remind me of what goes into the toilet.
well sweetie if you've done bad, I've done worse since I also posted brown pics!!! sigh... I think your post was lovely and very appropriately brown. I'm afraid I'm not nearly as original and inspirational as this crew... lol
ReplyDeleteA wonderful collection of browns! Some memories here for me e.g. Jenolan Caves and rocks at Kiama! Used to live in the south of Sydney at Camden for many years but now live in Victoria.
ReplyDeleteA nice collection of browns. And I should have known you'd find a chocolate fountain for this!
ReplyDeleteReally nice post Baino :)
ReplyDeleteexcellent shots baino...ove the nature ones...even below the earth...a chocolate fountain i not so bad either...smiles. had an electrical storm last night that blew everything out for a couple hours...but yours sounds a bit more of a headache...
ReplyDeletekookaburra sits in the old gum tree ♪♪♪ :)
ReplyDeletelovely door in that first shot.
I'm partial to brown hair myself.
love the bench! haha
You Know,Today,Brown Is Kinda Growing On Me!Happy T.T.!
ReplyDeleteOOOOO... I want to go to that artist's retreat. Not to paint or anything like that... but just to BE there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely assortment of beautiful browns. I particularly liked your opening shot, that marvelous door. And here's to coffee and chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI always thought a Kookaburra was a furry animal of sorts, kinda like a koala. It is an imposing looking bird, I must say.
ReplyDeleteThe cave is beautiful. We have similar to Aggtelek in Hungary.
ReplyDeleteWell at least you did a brown post! I didn't! lol
ReplyDeletegreat brown pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been visiting the TT players in order and saw hints of your "poop post" in a few places along the way. I was a little nervous to click on your link! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha...actually, that's the first place my mind went to when i saw the theme was brown. I live with my husband and two sons...I think they're rubbing off on me.
In seriousness, those are some great pics...the first one was my favourite. Happy TT!

... so that's the secret; red nails for unexpected landings, I'll have to give it a try. That door is very inviting*!*
ReplyDeletehehe just spotted the chain for the hubby bench ;)
ReplyDeletei couldn't get excited about brown until you mentioned coffee and chocolate...of course the brown haired lass is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny, I was going to recycle a 'poo' post of mine today, but thought that would be lame. I'm otherwise too hot these days to think of anything to post.
ReplyDeleteLove those pics, though. Are kookaburras generally cranky, yet can be known to be gentle around those who wear red nail polish?
;-)
Great pics. Victoria is amazingly brown and parched. So even that recent spell of rain didn't restore the green?
ReplyDeletei've had beautiful brown babes in my life...
ReplyDeletegive you isp shit! GRRRRRRR
Well done with the brown theme.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that the internet is giving you grief. That's frustrating!
I hope all is well with the new job as I think you have already started?
take care
xx
Of course you'll utterly unsurprised to know that I immediately went - CHOCOLATE! And Coffee! And more chocolate!
ReplyDelete...plus I bought myself a beautiful pair of brown boots yesterday that I haven't the heart to put in the wardrobe just yet - I still smile just looking at them.
CHOCOLATE!
I LOVE the door at Monselvat Artist's retreat. I can easily imagine picture that being the door to my (imaginary) cellar in which I hide all manner of goodies from the prying eyes of my family. Like chocolate, also brown.
ReplyDeleteThe Jenolan Caves are stunning. I'm going there one day.
The seat for bored husbands is a great idea.
Mmmm, brown eyes.........
The monselvat door is mindblowing! And I don't even know why.... :)
ReplyDeletetoo bad about the internet stuff, mine has been acting up as well , but the rest of the post is quite entertaining with some very good interest photo's Nice for brown TT.

The world's dullest colour has to be...
ReplyDeleteBORING BEIGE!
Your show jumping shot is very apt as today was the Aga Khan trophy event at the Dublin Horse Show...
The Dutch won, with Ireland and USA in joint second place.
I always thought kookaburras had big noses, never knew they were that enormous!!
ReplyDeleteThat brown rocks under a blue-&-white sky picture is amazing!
The brown dog looks like a lopsy-eared Norfolk Terrier. They're exactly the same as the Norwich terrier I wanted (still want; can't have), only without the perky ears...
ReplyDeleteps do you think the horse-rider is Princess Ann?
Nah, far too feminine for Princess Ann...(!)
So... what's with the red nail polish? (And do I detect a slight hint of lipstick too?)
ReplyDeleteLove the brown horse. Had jumping lessons myself yesterday (with horse I might add). Talking of brown. Need clean underwear after every jump normally. Not yesterday though. Horse behaved very well. Still smiling because we had such a great lesson yesterday.
Anywho, love the bench for bored husbands. And the chain is hooked up to a truck, so if the bench is full with bored man they go for a mad drive around town? Or did someone chain an incredibly large dog to the bench? (No, I know, just my imagination doing fun stuff in my mind.) Great photos, all of them. Don't feel guilty about not blogging so much. You're not half as bad as I am sometimes ;-)
I can never find the theme find the web sometimes but not the theme- speaking of poo bye bad job
ReplyDeleteNot bad blogger at all. Great post. Love that seat for bored husbands.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the sound of an artist's retreat. I'm hoping to take a week off to paint around Christmas. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to fit in painting, except for the occasional graffiti stencil.
