You know it's spring when . . .

. . . a little native Grey Minor Bird builds a dog hair nest in your impatiens hanging basket. This little lady has been sitting on two brown speckled eggs for over a week now . . right outside ClareBear's bedroom. Needless to say, the hanging baskets haven't been watered . . the price I pay to have this so up close and personal.

GM: I hope so, then I'll be cursing the persistent cheep cheep at 5.00am.
You know, I blog about fish and chips and get a shit load of comments. Blog about one of the little things that really, really gives me a thrill. . .pfft

B3N This is a fabulous time of year. It's not until Jan/Feb I start to melt and wish for winter but I'd like to have Christmas in the cold, just once. Hot Turkey, silly hats, open fire . ..aww I think I'm gonna cry. We mowed our grass for the first time in 4 months today. That's how long it took to grow to an 'untidy' level. My horse is emaciated despite 10Kg a day of hard feed. I long for the lushness of Europe!

Aw, that is so cute. As for this spring rising thing, it explains why my lawn is full of shagging squirrels...

She is sweet, still sitting there. Aw I love squirrels, we don't have them here but the dawn chorus is beginning to bug me . . .they start in the dark.
